Camera Operator

Responsibilities:

- Operate cameras proficiently, including DSLRs and cinema-grade cameras, ensuring high-quality footage for various projects.

- Collaborate with the creative team to understand project requirements, concepts, and desired visual outcomes.

- Assist in the regular maintenance, setup, and calibration of cameras and associated equipment.

- Choose appropriate lenses, filters, lighting, and other accessories to achieve desired visual effects.

- Apply technical knowledge to adjust settings like aperture, shutter speed, and ISO on cameras to ensure optimal image quality.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest camera equipment, techniques, and trends to provide recommendations for improvements.

- Monitor and adjust audio and video recording equipment to capture clear and synchronized audiovisual content.

- Occasionally perform basic editing tasks, ensuring continuity, smooth transitions, and adherence to project guidelines.

- Cooperate with the production team, including producers and directors, to understand shot compositions, angles, and artistic expectations.

- Utilize different shooting styles and techniques to effectively adapt to diverse content requirements.

- Maintain a strong attention to detail, ensuring accurate data management, shot lists, and equipment records.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Camera Operator, being proficient in operating a variety of cameras, from DSLRs to cinema cameras.

- Excellent knowledge of camera equipment, including lenses, filters, and lighting.

- Proficiency in basic editing software and the ability to perform simple editing tasks.

- A strong portfolio of previous work with diverse content style shooting.

- Sound understanding of shot composition, camera movements, and framing techniques.

- Solid technical skills, including adjusting camera settings like aperture, shutter speed, and ISO.

- Ability to work collaboratively and follow directions, while also demonstrating creative initiative.

- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in capturing footage and organizing equipment.

- Proactive mindset, staying informed about the latest camera equipment, techniques, and industry trends.
